Instead of me being there with a camera, your favorite people become part of the storytelling. Afterwards, I carefully go through every clip and craft it into a film that feels alive, emotional, and unmistakably yours.

THE BEAUTY (AND THE RISK)
Unlike hiring a professional filmmaker, I’m not there to make sure everything gets filmed. Your people are. They might capture something unexpectedly brilliant. They might miss something completely.
And honestly, that’s okay.
The more your guests film, the more I have to work with when I create your film. There’s no guarantee I’ll have every single moment, but that’s also what makes the footage feel so personal and unfiltered.

1 | Reserve Your Date
Choose your wedding date and secure your camcorder. Your Dear Yesterday box arrives 3–4 days before your celebration.
2 | Test The Camera
The camcorder comes fully prepared with:

✓ Memory card installed (up to 8 hours of footage)
✓ Easy instructions
✓ Filming guide & recommended shot list
We recommend making a short test recording before your wedding weekend begins.
3 | Celebrate
Enjoy your wedding. Pass the camcorder around. The more your guests film, the more I have to work with when I create your film.
4 | Send It Back
After the wedding, simply place everything back in the box and return it.
5 | Relive It Forever
Once your camcorder arrives safely back with us, editing begins. We’ll carefully transform your footage into a nostalgic highlight film you’ll treasure for years. Delivery: within 12 weeks.
FAQ WEDDING CAMCORDER
What if my guests don’t film enough?
The more footage your guests capture, the more material I have to work with. We’ll provide guidance beforehand, but ultimately your wedding film depends on what gets recorded during the weekend.
Do I need experience to use the camera?
Not at all. The camcorder is designed to be simple and intuitive, and you’ll receive a guide with everything you need to know.
Do I get all the raw footage?
Yes. Everything that was recorded will be delivered digitally alongside your edited film.
Is this suitable for destination weddings?
Yes! Very much!
Dear Yesterday is especially fun for destination weddings and multi-day celebrations, because there are so many moments beyond the wedding day that you’ll want to remember.
Planning a welcome dinner, pool party, rehearsal dinner or full wedding weekend? We can create a custom package to fit your plans.
What if the camcorder gets lost or damaged?
Lost, damaged, or unreturned items may be subject to replacement fees as outlined in our rental agreement.
Can I rent a camcorder for something other than my wedding?
Absolutely.
Dear Yesterday isn’t just for weddings. Take one along for your honeymoon, engagement, bachelor or bachelorette weekend, or any other occasion worth remembering.
