wedding & elopement films in Italy

Italy, where centuries of beauty meet effortless romance. It’s a place I’m endlessly inspired by and where I film nearly half of my weddings each year.

Italy offers so much more than iconic cities and postcard views. Think sun-drenched vineyards in Tuscany, quiet mountain lakes like Lake Como and Lake Garda, rugged coastlines along the Amalfi Coast, historic villas in Umbrië and Le Marche, olive groves in Puglia, and slow evenings filled with golden light. Whether you dream of exchanging vows high in the Dolomites, among rolling Tuscan hills, or during an intimate celebration at a secluded villa on Sicily’s coast. Italy creates space for moments that feel timeless and deeply personal.

As an Italy wedding filmmaker I traveled extensively across Italy, I know how to find the quieter places and the softest light. With a calm, honest approach to storytelling, I’ll capture your celebration in a way that feels natural, meaningful, and unmistakably yours.

MY APPROACH

A calm presence, not a production.

If the idea of cameras everywhere makes you a little nervous, you’re not alone. Most couples I work with tell me the same thing: they want their wedding to feel relaxed and natural, not like they’re performing for a camera.

That’s exactly how I approach filming.

No big productions.
No awkward posing.
No constant directing.

My films aren’t about staged poses, slow-motion clichés, or perfect choreography. They’re about the real moments: the laughter with your friends, the quiet glances between you and your partner, the happy tears, and the energy that fills the room.

I capture your wedding as it naturally unfolds. I blend in like an extra guest, paying attention to the little moments unfolding around you.

That way, you can focus on being fully present with the people you love.

Your extra friend on your wedding

On your wedding day, I’m not just the person with the camera. Think of me as your extra friend for the day. The one who helps keep things relaxed and calm when the nerves start to kick in, and notices the little moments unfolding around you.

I adapt easily to every vibe and group, instinctively knowing when to quietly blend into the background. Always present, but never intrusive. That way, you can focus on what really matters: living your day with the people you love, instead of feeling like you’re performing for a camera.

“Every time we watch our videos, we notice new moments we had missed on the day. Everything is captured beautifully. We’re so grateful we chose Ellen,
for both the result and her warm, kind presence and natural connection with everyone around her.”

FAQ

How much does a wedding videographer in Italy cost?

My wedding film prices start at €2,950 for 6 hours of coverage.
Most couples invest more depending on additional hours or films.

Full pricing and examples can be found in the brochure.

Can we customize our wedding film package?

Yes. Every wedding is different, so coverage can always be tailored to your plans.

Are travel costs included?

For weddings in Italy, travel is calculated from the Netherlands.

And if you’re planning a helicopter or boat ride… just save me a seat.

Do you travel for destination weddings or elopements?

Absolutely. Destination weddings are a huge part of my work. I actually film most of my weddings in Italy.

When it comes to my transportation and accommodation, I’m happy to take that off your plate. I research all viable options and only book once you’ve given me the green light.
All those years of traveling around the world finally pay off.

Practical Information: Hiring a Wedding Videographer Abroad

Do you have a drone?

Yes, and I love flying it! I always include the drone in my packages. Just know that due to local laws and weather conditions, it’s not always possible to fly the drone.

What if you’re sick on the big day?

I’ve never missed a wedding (knock on wood), but I do have a strong network of trusted videographers who could step in if needed.

If that ever happened, I would still edit the film myself to ensure you receive the same style and quality.

Do we need to be comfortable on camera?

Not at all. Most couples I work with say the same thing beforehand: they’re a little nervous about being filmed. But because my approach is very natural and unobtrusive, most people forget the camera is even there.

Do you have a different question? Feel free to ask.
